Technically, the In-Vivo Xtreme system has provided a multimodal optical, X-Ray, and radioisotopic imaging platform that has been leveraged in studies of oncology, neurology, and infectious disease.
Here we demonstrate the use of this system to image new, hybrid X-Ray/optical reporters by screening existing organic fluorophores for their XRIF properties. The work presented here validated the detection and emission spectra resolution of XRIF signals from a subset of commercially available organic fluorophores.
